(born April 26, 1973) is a Russian-Jewish performance artist. Her work engages searching for difference between “to know” and “to be aware of”, the relationship between “I and Myself” and “I and the World”, and looking for ways to open one’s mind.
I was born in Moscow, USSR, on April 26, 1973, to a non-religious family. My father Alexander Michel, an architect, and my mother Irina Michel, an engineer, RIP, saw me as a girl gifted in maths, so my computer career was predetermined at the age of 12.
It was becoming the mother of two wonderful kids, that 25 years later made me reconsider my whole life, and became a starting point of my new artist’s period.
